District 2 Director - Stephanie Harrell
Biographical Information
Stephanie Harrell has been an educator for over 25 years and is currently the STEM Coordinator for Lenoir County Public Schools. Before stepping into this role, she was the Digital Learning Specialist at North Lenoir High School, where she supported teachers and students in integrating technology into instruction. Before that, she taught middle school math, science, and CTE STEM, as well as the Lenoir County High School Coding and App Development online class. Harrell earned her Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education from East Carolina University and her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction - Teacher Leadership for School Improvement from the University of Florida. She holds a North Carolina Administrator License and earned her Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. Passionate about STEM education, Harrell is dedicated to helping students discover meaningful connections between their interests and STEM concepts, fostering innovation, and preparing them for future career opportunities. She has presented numerous times at both state and national conferences on various topics in math and science education, sharing best practices and strategies to enhance STEM learning.

Through advocacy, professional development, and the creation of dynamic, hands-on learning experiences, I aim to inspire students and educators alike, making STEM education engaging, inclusive, and accessible to all.
