Mission Statement
Through service as NCSTA District 3 Director, I hope to build a network of professional colleagues who are similarly inspired to challenge students and teachers to grow in scientific literacy. Questioning is the doorway to learning, and I am driven to promote inquiry-based practices in science classrooms and across content areas. I am committed to curriculum development, and will be serving on NC DPI's Science Standards Writing Team. I am committed to equity and finding ways to ensure access to authentic science tasks, as well as ensuring students can see themselves in science. I look forward to networking with science peers from within District 3 and across the state, and sharing relevant and engaging science content and curriculum.
