2025 Amendment to By-Laws

The board of directors of NCSTA proposes the following change to the NCSTA By-Laws. The purpose of this change is to update existing By-Laws. Please review this change and vote to accept or reject this amendment during the upcoming NCSTA elections.

Amend Article X, Section 1 by replacing

'The standing committees shall be: Goals, Membership, Finance, Nominating, Publication, Conference, and Constitution and Bylaws. '

with

'The standing committees shall include but not be limited to: Goals, Membership, Finance, Nominating, Publication, Conference, and Constitution and Bylaws.'

Rationale: This allows flexibility in adding standing committees and observes the way we have actually been operating the board.

Amy D'Amico

Amy D'Amico joined the Smithsonian Science Education Center (SSEC) in 2013 as the Division Director of Professional Services. She oversees Professional Development and Leadership Development initiatives at SSEC.
