NASA/NC Space Grant - Now accepting applications for a new cohort of NC Space Education Ambassadors

Dear NC Space Grant Friends and Colleagues:

As the semester draws to a close, we here at NC Space Grant invite you to apply for the NC Space Education Ambassadors Program (NCSEA)! Now in its second year, the NCSEA program is building a statewide network of master teachers who deliver NASA educational content to their students, colleagues and communities.

Ambassadors will learn directly from NASA education experts at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, through remote workshops. Also, the 2021-22 cohort will travel as a group to NASA Langley for in-person, hands-on training opportunities, subject to the center’s COVID-19 safety protocols.

Here are some links for more information about the program:

We will select 10 teachers from across the state's eight education districts, with an eye for teachers able to reach diverse audiences and bring NASA education to communities historically underrepresented in STEM fields.

In-service public and private school teachers with three years or more experience can apply for this opportunity by June 30 on the NCSEA program page.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you have. Also, please do pass this opportunity around to colleagues you think may be interested.

We hope to share a year of NASA education with you!

Best regards,
Jobi
