Presenter Information

The North Carolina Science Teachers Association invites you to share your expertise with science educators across the state as we continue to promote science education in North Carolina!

In addition to a full array of sessions in all sciences, we are seeking presenters for three strands. Presenters at all grade levels are encouraged to submit a proposal.

Our theme this year is Science is Phenomenal. While all presentation applications will be considered, we will pay close attention to those presentations that address the three strands:

Examining and presenting phenomenon-based science through modeling

Student-centered learning using the new NC standards

Nobody wins unless everybody wins! STEM for all!

Last year, AI strands were very popular. If you have an AI session, list it under the 'Other' option when you apply.

PDI Keynote Speakers

Dr. Carol O'Donnell

Dr. Carol O'Donnell is the director of the Smithsonian Science Education Center, which is dedicated to transforming K-12 Education through Science in collaboration with communities across the globe.

Dr. Nehemiah Mabry, P.E. is an Engineer, Educator and Entrepreneur based in Raleigh, North Carolina. His technical experience includes 15+ years as a NASA Researcher, Bridge Design Engineer, and Adjunct Professor.
