Dates and Deadlines
Local Science Fairs should be scheduled for December and January. Regional Fairs will be in late January and February. The State Science Fair will be held at Meredith College in Raleigh on March 15, 2008.
Students may submit projects that they have done research for up to 12 months within an 18 month period prior to March 2008. If the project is based upon a prior research project, a Continuation Form (ISEF Form 7) must be used and the student must explain how the project differs from the prior work and submit previous research plans. Continuation projects demonstrate that the student is seeking to apply previously gained information to new questions.
All forms from schools and students for regional winners must be postmarked by Friday, February 29, 2008 to be considered for the fair.
