Joan Heuel--Fisher Science Education

For the past 17 years Joan Heuel has served the teachers and schools of N. C. as a representative for Fisher Science Education. Joan has visited most of the middle and high schools in nearly all of our 100 counties. She has assisted teachers with the development of equipment lists, expedited orders, located lost items, coordinated the replacement of broken equipment and even helped unpack orders in new school. Her commitment to service to science teachers and students is understood and appreciated all over our state. Joan is known for a warm smile and dependable presence at our annual conferences. She has supported NCSTA by working through Fisher Science Education to fund numerous functions over the state. Since Joan taught for 9 years before starting with Fisher, she understands that students learn by doing . We are very glad to have Joan as our friend.
